Board™ is a global standards and certification body
dedicated to advancing excellence in life coaching, executive coaching, business coaching, and management
consulting.
The Life Coach Council™ establishes structured, graduate-level certification pathways designed to bring
credibility, accountability, and measurable standards to the coaching profession worldwide.
2. About the ALC™ & CILC™ Designations
For over a decade, the Council has awarded two primary
professional designations:
ALC™ – Accredited Life Coach™
CILC™ – Certified International Life Coach™
These designations recognize verified education, examination,
ethical commitment, and professional competency in coaching and human development.
Board Certification represents formal validation that a
candidate has met published standards in education, experience, ethics, and continuing professional
development.

6. Certification Requirements
To qualify for Board Certification, applicants must meet the

institution.
Experience
Minimum of two years of relevant professional
experience.
Ethics
Formal agreement to adhere to the Life Coach Council™ Code of
Professional Conduct.
Continuing Education
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
All applications are subject to Board evaluation.
7. Graduate-Level Standards & Eligibility
Applicants may qualify if they have:

Completed accredited degree programs

Passed recognized examinations

Earned government-recognized academic credentials

Demonstrated documented management or coaching experience
Graduates of AACSB, ACBSP, EFMD/EQUIS accredited business
schools, ABA-accredited law schools, or comparable government-recognized institutions may be eligible for
certification following Board review.
8. Ethics & Professional Conduct
All Certified Professionals must:

Violation of ethics may result in suspension or revocation of
certification.
9. Continuing Education Requirements
To maintain active status:

10. Scope of Practice
Certified Life Coaches and Consultants assist clients
